Founded by Alexander Geremia in 1909, and incorporated in 1919, Durable was established to provide high quality automobile collision, mechanical service and radiator repair, in an ethical, honest and efficient manner. Later, the company was run by Alexander's son, Michael Geremia. While Alex believed in strong executive management, Michael was more of a "get-down-and-get-dirty" manager and owner.

The current owner, David Michael Geremia, claims that his management style is modeled after both his grandfather's and father's. Dave's mission is to make sure that his customers are completely satisfied with Durable's "One-stop Shop". His efforts have not been in vain. During the past two years, Dave's goals to increase the company's sales have been clearly met. Durable has improved its closing ratio (the number of cars that were quoted appraisal estimates by the company, and then returned for repairs) from the industry average of 4-2% to over 90%. In sales terms, this translates to a 89% increase in just two years. Durable has a reputation of excellence in the local auto body collision repair industry and offers its customers the confidence, expertise and service of the oldest and most reliable vehicle repair shop in the area.

Our President and Service Manager, David P. Geremia, started in the family business at his Grandfather's knee. He has been at Durable for over 20 years and has experience as a radiator repair technician, diagnoser, service writer and licensed insurance appraiser in the states of CT and PA. David has also brought a new vision to Durable with the addition of Avis Rental Cars and Penske Truck Rentals.
